Information

Gel agent representing tyrosine determination
Tyrosine is an amino acid found in the diet. It is metabolized to provide dopamine and adrenaline to the body. Tyrosine is also used to produce thyroid hormones. That's why many food supplements use it.

Amino acids are components of proteins. The body produces tyrosine from another amino acid called phenylalanine. Tyrosine is also found in dairy products, meat, fish, eggs, nuts, beans, oats and wheat.

Tyrosine is used as a protein supplement to treat a genetic disease called phenylketonuria (PCU). People with this problem can't treat phenylalanine correctly, so they can't make tyrosine. To meet their physical needs, give them extra tyrosine. Tyrosine is recommended for athletes who want to supplement.

People take tyrosine to improve vigilance after treating depression, attention deficit disorder (add), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), inability to stay awake (narcolepsy) and sleep deprivation. It is also used for stress, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, chronic fatigue syndrome (CWS), alcohol and cocaine withdrawal, heart disease and stroke, ed (erectile dysfunction), loss of interest in sex, Schizophrenia, as a tanning agent and hunger inhibitor.

Some people also apply tyrosine to their skin to reduce age-related wrinkles.

The dose of tyrosine is usually 500-2000 mg 30-60 minutes before any acute stressor (usually exercise)
Human studies showing the maximum anti stress potential of acute L-tyrosine supplementation used a dose range of 100-150 mg / kg body weight, which can be taken 60 minutes before exercise; The dose range is 9 to 13.5 g for 90 kg and 7 to 10 g for 70 kg.

If you use a higher dose and find digestive problems, this can be divided into two and a half hours of separate doses (30 minutes and 60 minutes before acute stress).

Possible side effects
If you show signs of allergic reaction, seek emergency medical assistance: urticaria; dyspnea; Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.

Although not all side effects are known, it is believed that L-tyrosine may be safe after 3 months in most adults.
Common side effects may include:

  •  Nausea, heartburn
  • headache
  • Joint pain
  • fatigue

This is not a complete list of side effects. There are other possible side effects. Call your doctor for medical advice on side effects.
